Dear East End Families, Today, we sent home a flyer for our East End Fundraiser, which will help us build an outdoor classroom and purchase additional items for our school. We have two ways for students to participate in selling items for the fundraiser: 1. Paper Form: You can complete the order form and return it with a check made out to East End. 2. Online Sales: You can also sell items electronically by visiting this link to set up your account so that sales will be credited to your child: https://1cookie.com/groups/east-end-elementary-school/register. Once you have created this link you will have an account that you can share with friends and family members to purchase items electronically. Additionally, we have a video that explains the prizes students can earn for their participation. You can watch it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ISg-B-ysnL5mXPwHh4Bub052R18mDhnA/view?usp=drive_link The fundraiser runs from January 16th to January 31st, so please help us make this a successful event for our school. Thank you so much for your support! Sincerely, East End Leadership

📱 Revised Personal Electronic Device Policy: Beginning January 2025 📱 Under a new South Carolina policy, schools are required to limit students' access to cell phones and other personal devices during the school day. The School District of Pickens County has adopted a revised Personal Electronic Device Policy to comply with state law (Budget Proviso 1.103). ✔️Devices must be silenced and stored in lockers, backpacks, or other designated areas throughout the instructional time. ✔️Devices include but are not limited to, cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and gaming devices. We encourage parents to discuss this policy with their children and support its implementation when we return in January. Thank you for partnering with us as we implement this required policy. Please visit this site for detailed information [www.pickens.k12.sc.us/page/sdpc-cell-phone-policy].

Today we had special guest come to visit 3rd-5th grade from YAMS (Young Appalachian Musicians) to perform for our students. On Monday, if your child is interested in YAMs they can see Mrs. Stockton for an application. We also had a surprise guest play guitar. I spy Mr. Brewington.

Pizza Time! These students earned a pizza party by being generous. We had three leaders in our can food drive. Mrs. Gerhardt, Mrs. Richardson and Ms. Gibson's class brought in the most cans so far. We will keep collecting cans through December.
