Thank you to everyone who joined us for our last Family Literacy Night of the school year! We had such a great time watching The Wild Robot together. We’re excited to hear what our students think—and how the movie compares to the book! A huge thank you to United Way of Pickens County for your continued support in making these nights so special. Thanks to their generosity, each family went home with two incredible books: The One and Only Ivan and The One and Only Bob. We’re already looking forward to more fun events this summer and into the next school year—stay tuned!

Our final Pup Tales of the year was taco-rrific! We had so much fun reading Dragons Love Tacos and making breakfast tacos together. Every student went home with a taco and their very own dragon — what a delicious way to wrap up a year of reading fun! A big thank you to Pickens County Women United for sponsoring our Pup Tales books this year. Your support means the world to us and our young readers!

🌟 Happy International Nurse’s Day! 🌟 Today we want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing school nurse, Jennifer Collins, for everything she does here at East End Elementary! 💙 Nurse Collins is the calm in the chaos, the Band-Aid queen, the temperature taker, and the comforting voice when our students (and staff!) need it most. Whether it’s a tummy ache, a scraped knee, or just a hug and a little reassurance, she’s always there with compassion, care, and a smile. Thank you, Nurse Collins, for being the heartbeat of our school and keeping our Bulldog family healthy, safe, and cared for every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say! 👩‍⚕️🐾💉🩺

We are incredibly grateful to Rock Springs Baptist Church for the delicious lunch and beautiful setup in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week! From the thoughtful sign and fresh flowers to the homemade meal, every detail made our staff feel truly seen and celebrated. East End families—this is a great time to lift up your child’s teacher! Consider sending them a kind email, a sweet handwritten note, or even sharing a positive comment about the difference they’re making in your child’s life. A little encouragement goes a long way!
