October is National Principal's Month
We could not let this month go unnoticed. Mr. Brewington, we appreciate you. Our Bulldogs love you!

It was an incredible week at East End!
We collected an impressive 788 cans for SHINE.
Congrats to our Bulldog Chain quarter 1 winners, Ms. Duvall and Mrs. Sanders homerooms each earned 50 links—well done!
Today picture day brought out our brightest smiles, capturing the joy of our community.
Some amazing Easley High School Teacher Cadets stopped by and they read books they wrote to our students.
We learned so much in our classrooms. Our PreK took learning on the road and enjoyed an exciting field trip, creating unforgettable memories.
Stay tuned for the reels we'll post later this weekend!

Tomorrow is picture day. We are looking forward to seeing your beautiful smiles. Any students going on the k3 and k4 field trip may bring a change of clothes.

Reminder: There will be no school for students on Monday and Tuesday of next week, as we have an extended holiday.

Wow! East End Bulldogs, you have blown us away with already bringing in 100 cans! We are going to deliver our first round of supplies to SHINE on Friday. Let's see how many cans we can get in the next two days!

Save the Date - Tuesday, October 15th from 4pm - 9pm
Firehouse Subs Spirit Day
Our PTO will get some of the proceeds to help better East End.

East End is beginning our Annual Canned Food Drive today. We will be collecting canned and boxed foods to help our own friends and neighbors in Pickens County who have been so hard hit by the recent hurricane and flooding, along with neighbors who have lost their homes and jobs. They all need our help with food. So, every single classroom here at East End is stepping up and collecting food for our friends! We will collect every day until December 20th and Dr. Freitag will be periodically transporting the food straight to Shine Food Bank right here in Easley, near Easley Baptist Hospital. Let's ALL help with this great cause by cleaning up your pantries and filling Shine's! Please help us by sending all the canned food/boxed food items you can spare with your children to school where we will do AMAZING things together to lift up our community and help them get back on their feet again!
Thank you East End Family!

Tomorrow at 8:30 am or 6:00 pm, we will have volunteer training in the cafeteria.

Save the date - October 11, 2024 - Picture Day

Dear Second Grade Families,
We hope this message finds you well. We previously sent home a letter regarding the CogAT and Iowa testing. Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene in our area, we have made changes to the testing schedule.
Testing will now begin on Thursday, October 10th, and will conclude on Friday, October 18th. We will not test on Monday, October 14th or Tuesday, October 15th, due to the SDPC school calendar. We were already scheduled to be closed for a Fall Break and Professional Development Day.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher, Mrs. Spearman, or Mrs. Swinyer.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Best regards,

We are thankful for our amazing custodians. We hope you have a great day.
