THE PCCTC VEX ROBOTIC TEAM 7447D MAXBOT WINS THE CATS VEX REGIONAL COMPETITION

Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 the Pickens County Career & Technology Center VEX Team 7447D MAXBOT won the VEX CATS (Center for Advanced Technical Studies) in Chapin, SC. They competed against 29 robots from High Schools throughout the state. The MAXBOT team includes senior members of the Project Lead the Way Engineering Design & Development Class and the PCCTC VEX Robotics Teams.

Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, 4 15 students from the PCCTC VEX Robotics Teams participated in the Viking Hammer VEX Qualifier at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, SC.  The team, MAXBOT, placed 2nd in a close competition that included 36 Robots.  First Alliance was taken by a team from GA. 

The teams will be competing in the regional competitions:  Golden Corner Starstruck Qualifier @ Walhalla High School Dec. 10, Electric City Starstruck Tournament @ Anderson, SC Mall Jan. 14, 2017, J.L. Mann  Upstate VEX Qualifier @ J. L. Mann High School, Greenville, SC. Feb. 11, 2017.  The SC Palmetto Partners VEX Robotics State Championship Mar. 11, 2017 @ Spring Hill High School, Chapin, SC.  The 2017 VEX Worlds Competition will be held April 19-22, 2017 @ the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, KY.  The public is invited to all VEX competitions.  Admission is free.
